The Macedonian reality

Gjingis is a young and proud man who always takes care of his look,so it wasn’t easy to convince him that i want to help him and his family.Even if he needs it desperately.I would like to help in a “bigger style” like buying furniture or a oven ,but based on the  budget i have,the most effective help in the moment is to buy daily needs like food,soap,toothbrush…or washing powder. With the more humble women of the house on my side,we convinced him to follow me to the next supermarket.Despite the poverty,grocery isn’t cheap at all in Macedonia.For sure we would have got more stuff for the same money in a first world country,but thanks to the donation of Karoline Prutsch and Karin Reiss,we could buy a shopping card full of food.After the obligatory picture and a emotional”good bye” I left Macedonia on my bike in direction Greece,only a few kilometer’s away from Bitola.
