Mount of Olives/Jerusalem.It’s now more than two weeks since i arrived in Jerusalem and I’m getting more and more involved…I spend almost everyday at the Summer-camp of Orphans and disabled kids in East-Jerusalem, having a great time with them.
I sleep in the Guesthouse of Ibrahim Abu el Hawa, who i met occasionally in the park on top of Mount Olives. He started talking with me and invited me in his Guesthouse,or like he wants to call it, “welcome center”.
Ibrahim el Hawa grew up and lives on Mount of Olives, where his family has lived for more than 1400 years. He is called the ambassador of good will from Mount of Olives because he has devoted his life to work for peace and reconciliation. If you ever visit Jerusalem, this is the place to stay .Don’t expect any luxury, but a great international atmosphere and harmony ,a wonderful view from the roof over the Jordan Valley and Dead Sea included.
